By accessing or using Spoticromos ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Spoticromos is a music collection and game platform that uses the Spotify Web API to let users import playlists, collect music items with varying rarity tiers, and play music-related games including trivia and pairs matching. The Service enriches music metadata with additional information such as lyrics, artist details, and album data.

2. Spotify Integration

Spoticromos is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify AB. The Service uses the Spotify Web API in accordance with Spotify's Developer Terms of Service. All music content, metadata, artwork, and related materials displayed through the Service are provided by and remain the property of Spotify and the respective rights holders.

3. User Accounts

To use Spoticromos, you must authenticate with a valid Spotify account. We do not create separate user accounts. By logging in, you authorize the Service to access your Spotify profile information and playlist data as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your Spotify account
  • All activity that occurs under your session
  • Complying with Spotify's Terms of Use while using the Service

4. Game Mechanics and Virtual Items

The Service includes game features such as item collection with rarity tiers (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary), trivia games, and pairs matching games. All virtual items, rarity tiers, rewards, and game scores exist solely within the Service and have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be traded, sold, or exchanged for real currency.

5. User-Generated Content

Users may create custom trivia templates. By creating content within the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive license to store and display that content within the platform. You retain ownership of any original content you create and may delete it at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

All music metadata, album artwork, artist images, and related content displayed in Spoticromos is sourced from Spotify and belongs to the respective rights holders. Song lyrics are sourced from LrcLib and belong to their respective copyright holders. You may not copy, distribute, or commercially exploit any content obtained through the Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure
  • Scrape, extract, or systematically download content from the Service
  • Use automated tools to interact with the Service
  • Circumvent game mechanics or exploit bugs for unfair advantage

8. Availability and Modifications

The Service is provided on an "as is" basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without prior notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. THIS INCLUDES ANY LOSS OF ACCESS TO YOUR SPOTIFY ACCOUNT OR DATA RESULTING FROM THE USE OF THIS SERVICE.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by logging out and revoking access through your Spotify Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service or other users.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
